How it Started: Lucy Life started out as a funny little "newsletter" I made when I was in the 5th grade. I wanted to make a little page about my cat, Lucy. I showed it to my family and they loved it. It was my dad who got the idea of making more newsletters and collecting donations for the animal shelter. I made another (more serious) newsletter and I asked a few restaurants and stores and Lucy Life got started.
Lucy Life Blog: Soon after creating the newsletter, I was looking for ways to expand Lucy Life. I was thinking about creating a website, so I talked to one of my moms friends who is great at this kind of thing. She told me I should create a blog. She showed me all about formatting, templates, writing posts and everything I needed to know to make a good page. During the first couple months, I was my only viewer. Later, I was getting views from all over the world! I was so excited that Lucy Life was expanding to so many more places.
The Committee: As the Lucy Life organization was growing, I thought about getting new members. I got a little group together and I assigned parts for them to help in the newsletter, but there wasn't much more for us to do.
Petapalooza: The Lucy Life Committee didn't have much to do. Our town organized this event called Petapalooza. You can bring your dog to the park and have a good time. Our committee was told that the town would not be organizing this event anymore and asked if we wanted to do it. We said yes and it was a big hit. We raised $800 for the animal shelter in one day!! We are doing it again this year in May!
YouTube: I recently started a YouTube channel to help Lucy Life grow even more. I just started the channel and I only have 4 videos. I plan on making more.
