Help! By: Linus

Hello everyone!  Lucy is very busy doing business on our event coming up in October.  Today's advice column is about disobedient pets.  Sometimes obedience school doesn't work.  You have to start one problem at a time.  Does your pet chew or claw the furniture?  Chew toys and scratching posts help with that.  If the problems continue, a spray bottle may do the trick.  Lewis has a problem with eating things off the counter.  The number one rule is: DON'T TAKE THINGS OUT OF A DOG'S MOUTH!  A spray bottle or shaking a can full of coins often helps with this.  Accidents in the house are the WORST.  If it is your cat, you should consider putting a litter box in multiple rooms.  If it is a dog, reward the for doing their business outside.  If they take care of business in the house, don't give any attention even if it is negative.  You may need to consider taking your dog out more often.  For behavior problems toward humans, like aggressiveness, you should see an animal behavior specialist.  I hope this helps!
