For New Pet Owners

Hello!  As you all know, Christmas has recently passed as well as the New Year.  If you got a pet for Christmas or made it your New Years Resolution to take better care of your pet, then this post is for you!  As a cat, I would know what your furry, (or your not so furry), friend would want.  Lets start with, er, the dogs.  I have Lewis in my household along with two other felines.  Lewis needs more attention then all of us cats combined!  (It's just his personality)  He also requires frequent cuddles with Linus and me.  The deal with dogs or puppies is that they need a lot of love and attention.  Playing with and petting your K9 pal is a great way for you two to spend time together.  Make sure to check with your vet what you should be feeding your dog.  If you're having trouble with your dogs behavior, then try obedience school.  If your dog's obedience school doesn't affect your dogs behavior in a positive way, (we have been there with good ol' Lew), then just remember to reward good behavior.  Your dog will notice that he is not being rewarded for let's say, eating from the trash.  It makes a difference.  From a dog's point of view, you are no less than the best thing that ever happened to him/her.  Your dog loves you more than anything in the world.
